THIS IS A TERRIFIC LOOKING TOKEN...HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THESE "RECTANGULAR" TOKENS...THEY JUST REALLY ADD TO A COLLECTION, THIS ONE A BEAUTY, FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER SEEN ONE
Original owner thought this is
A TOUGHER MERCHANT VARIETY
to find....this token came out of a small collection of Canada tokens....never in the ground..I know zero about Canadian trade tokens, but though this one looked like a better token
The historic town of Morden goes back to around 1882 when the CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY built a line crossing Dead Horse Creek. Town located in southern Manitoba, not far from US border and state of North Dakota
Trade token is aluminum metal, rectangular shape, about 19mm x 38mm in size, & displays very nicely.
Hard to imagine finding a nicer one
