Handsome fold-out 1952 Texaco road map of Los Angeles and vicinity, printed more than 64 years ago.This map opens to a generous 28" x 35" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, including U.S. Route 66, with cartography by Rand McNally.
The coverage area extends from Van Nuys to Temple City, south to Hawthorne and Hollydale, including Beverly Hills, Inglewood, Vernon, Santa Monica, Glendale, Alhambra, Pasadena, Burbank, and Hollywood, with an inset of Pacific Palisades.
There is a regional map on the reverse side.
This map was distributed by Texaco in 1952 and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 523897. The date code on the cover is 652.
