Handsome fold-out 1956 Texaco cruising chart of the Atlantic Coast from Eastport, Maine to Block Island, including Nantucket Sound, Narragansett Bay, and the Cape Cod Canal.
The map opens to 18" x 36".
It depicts coastline features, and locates navigational aids, including a list of radio beacons.
The cartography is by Rand McNally. The code number in the lower margin is 6-4715-9.
On the reverse side there are detailed maps of Nantucket Sound, Boston Harbor, Narragansett Bay, and the Cape Cod Canal, along with a tidal chart for 1956.
The map was published by Texaco Waterways Service, 135 East 42nd Street, New York, in 1956 and is dated on the cover.
It is identified as Chart No. 1, one of nine cruising charts published by Texaco in 1956.
